These protesters in Italy were upset over their controversial president, thus they assembled and took to the streets. After awhile though, the police had enough and shot smoke canisters into one particularly vocal group.
During the protests, this interesting vehicle caught my eye, as well as the giant walking through the dense crowd of seemingly peaceful people. 
This rather deplorable sight was the norm while the garbage services were on strike in Athens, Greece following a dispute on a recent benefits cut. In addition to this, periodic protests were seen that laid waste to a variety of landmarks, including the Athens Academy.
